1st Metropolitan Mortgage has leased 20,000 square feet in the Piedmont Town Center development in Charlotte’s SouthPark area, with the operation to serve as the company’s national headquarters.
The company, which has 72 employees in Charlotte, will vacate 6,000 square feet in the Park View Building at 5821 Fairview Road.
The mortgage company, which is scheduled to move to Piedmont Town Center in January, will service its 270 national branch offices from the location.
The company has signed a seven-year lease. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.

Steve Garrett, Tripp Guin, Tom O’Brien and Mark Decherd of Trammell Crow Co. represented 1st Metropolitan in lease negotiations. Campbell Walker and Ben Vandiver of Piedmont Town Center developer Lincoln Harris represented the building partnership.
